my story

It's what you learn between the lines of your resume that is more significant than the experiences listed.

It's only fair to share my story if my clients have the courage to tell me theirs.

I'm in my 40's, and I've lived 10 lives.

It’s a running joke that I’ve lived 10 lives. I’ve lived a life that on the outside appears to have little rhyme or reason. However, every single career move and life experience has prepared me to be a coach. From working in the pharmaceutical industry launching new drugs and representing celebrities to getting my masters degree in Museum Management and spending two years split between working in the National History Museum in New York City and digging for remains and artifacts, to managing teams that launched rebranding campaigns for global brands, to working for a non-profit that opened my eyes more than any other experience. Each chapter of my life brought clarity and determination to do better, be better, and learn more.

And through my many lives, my body was always a focus, for better or worse.

Since my mid-20’s, I’ve been in tune with my body, and I knew when I was out of balance, but the answer was always to reset with a diet and more intense workouts. That is until I found boxing. An unforgiving sport that didn’t allow me to restrict my calories. I started to see my body as a sum of parts; if one thing was out of balance, I got injured. That was when I began to listen to what my body needed to perform at its peak and not focus on what I looked like in my clothes.

Once an athlete, always an athlete.

Being an athlete, whatever your current level, comes with unique health and mental challenges. As time went on and I left the sport for various reasons, my whole-body connection eventually took a backseat to old habits. My drive for professional growth and fitness intensity never wavered, but my body and mind took a beating. On the outside, I was fit, healthy, and had my life together. On the inside, I struggled to feel fulfilled by my accomplishments and relationships while my joints and physical health were failing me. Now, by no means am I saying my 30’s were terrible. I married my best friend, met some phenomenal people who forever changed me, and my career evolved into something I would never have imagined.

We all find ways to adapt, survive, and thrive.

In the fall of 2018, I noticed that I always felt sluggish, my clothes were getting snug, and my focus was lacking. I’m not saying I was an unhappy person; I just wasn’t myself. That’s when I stumbled upon Whole30. At first glance, it appeared to be another diet, but I quickly discovered it was a guide that put me back in tune with my body and started me on the path of whole-body wellness.

And I will be forever grateful.

I wouldn’t change a single day of my life or career because it made me who I am. The sum of my experiences has brought me to where I am today and gave me the ability to see and respect all three sides of a story and not lose my identity. It has honed my ability to help guide people through their challenges and find balance with nutrition, fitness, self-care, relationships, and everything in between.

Why my diverse background is an asset to helping people

Problem-solving and establishing accountability are universal for success. My life path introduced me to many different types of people and situations, allowing me to develop ways to overcome challenges. Along the way, I met some truly inspirational people who helped me recalibrate my outlook on life and myself.

These key learnings are what I love to share with others so they, too, can have a ripple effect on everyone in their life.
